Introduction

Sudanese Orphans Support Trust (SOST) was
founded in year 2000 by a group of Southern Sudanese who came to study in the
Netherlands. The founders being refugees have taken it into their hearts
in order to contribute to improve the lives of the most vulnerable members of
the community in the refugee and displaced camps in Uganda and Sudan
respectively. Dutch sympathizers have joined the founders of SOST to help them
in their activities. It’s main goal is to support education of orphans-victims of the
longest civil war in the World that has claimed an estimated number of more than
2 million lives in Sudan as well as victims of the deadly disease HIV/AIDS that
has equally claimed lives of many adults due to lack of prevention, and or awareness raising about the
disease HIV/AIDS.
